The only daughter of a Greek politician seated in the Hellenic Parliament, Jessalyn has lived her life in relative comfort. Her family was extremely close, and while she herself was an only child, she always had her cousins and her mother's friends children to talk to. At a young age, she was an incredible tomboy, preferring the company of the boys to her pretty, well behaved girl cousins. She climbed trees and wrestled with the best of them, despite her mother's disapproval. The one thing "girly" that did interest her, and appeased her mother, was dancing. When she was seven, her aunt Mary adopted two twin boys, and held a "welcoming" party for them so they could meet their new cousins. Rhys was four years older, smart, funny. Jessalyn was sure with all of her seven year old heart that she was in love. So for the next nine years, Jessalyn did all she could to make sure Rhys Edmonds fell in love with her. For once, her mother didn't seem to mind what she did. Her father, on the other hand, was less understanding, and extremely protective of his baby girl. Everything Jessalyn did growing up that was mildly flirtatious, he blamed solely on Rhys. And so a rift began to grow between the family, Dimitri Sarris frustrated Rhys, Jessalyn frustrated at her father, and Juliana frustrated at her daughter and husband. Now nineteen, Jessalyn has been engaged for five months and couldn't be happier. Except for the fact, she's no longer in Greece, but Jerusalem. Hearing that his daughter was going to get married was the final straw, and to the boy Dimitri could never stand, her adopted cousin, the family almost broke apart, until Juliana came up with the plan. Jessalyn would attend college out of the country, away from Rhys, and if when she graduated with her B.Dance her and Rhys still wanted to go through with their marriage, Dimitri would give-in. Slightly depressed, but also excited at the prospect of another country, Jessalyn and Rhys agreed. So Jessalyn attends the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, and her and Rhys call or email each other once a day. |
A healthy mix of idealist and realist, Jessalyn is a good judge of character and tries to bring out the best in people. From a young age she has exhibited a certain amount of willfullness and determination. Jessalyn believes all things are possible if you simply try, and if you fail, well, maybe that just wasn't meant to happen. But first you have to get her to admit defeat. She loves her fiance and would do anything to keep him safe. |
You wouldn't know Jessalyn was the same girl in the pictures on her parents shelves back home if you hadn't watched her grow up. No longer a skinny tomboy, Jessalyn has filled out quite nicely, especially in the chest, quite odd indeed for a dancer. She's in excellent physical condition, having done many forms of dance from a young age and waking up at five thirty am everyday to practice. Her hair is a light shade of brown, falling down to her waist. She still prefers comfortable, easy-to-move-around-in, almost boyish, clothes, but they do have a certain feminine touch to them. |
